Local Conference Scheduled to Help Kids Become Entrepreneurs
POCATELLO, ID – September 23, 2019 — A local entrepreneurship conference designed just for kids has been scheduled for October 26, 2019, in Pocatello, Idaho, at the Red Lion Hotel from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The Arise 100X Young Entrepreneur Conference was created to achieve four goals for participants:
- Educate young people through speakers and classes on what it means to be an entrepreneur and why it will be important for their lives,
- Offer young entrepreneurs a forum to set up vendor booths and sell their products and services to the community,
- Provide funding to help young entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses through a pitch competition (yes, just like Shark Tank), and
- Provide a fun and exciting event where kids can meet other like-minded people in the area and form friendships and connections that can last forever.
“This conference is designed to transform the way a young person thinks about their future,” says one of the event’s organizers, Nephi Zufelt. “We are bringing in amazing speakers who are not only financially successful entrepreneurs but are also using their wealth and influence to change the world. We want young entrepreneurs to understand how they can be successful and also use their wealth for the betterment of all. To top it all off, we want to offer resources to these young entrepreneurs so they can take action and begin today. We are especially excited about the pitch competition. It is going to be amazing! Local sponsors have kicked in to provide funding for grants of up to $500 for these young entrepreneurs.”
When asked why they are sponsoring an entrepreneurship event for kids, Zufelt said, “Listen, we know that the future is unknown for many of these kids, but we want every one of our local youth to know that they can succeed on their own terms. Entrepreneurship is raising people out of poverty and into success all over the world, so why not in Southeast Idaho? These kids really can do anything – they just need to know what is possible and how to get started!”
