Our Experience
In the past, learning the principles of success was difficult. Not because they were secret or hard to grasp but because they were hidden across hundreds of the best self-help and business books in the world. The only way to learn them was to seek them out one by one. But no one made it easy. Each guru had their own names and language for their unique solutions.
The ideas were great, but we wondered why no one had taken the time to compile them into one location, and, more importantly, make them easy to understand for any age or education level.
This all came home when we started trying to teach our own kids about wealth. We offered to pay our oldest daughters (who loved to read) $20 for each business and self-help book they read from our shelves. Unsurprisingly, they found that all of the books, including story based fables, were just too complicated and did not make sense.
So, for their benefit, we started a crazy project. We decided to do it ourselves. We would teach our kids the principles of wealth that had so dramatically improved our lives in the last few years in a way that even our youngest could understand.
We started by compiling all of the principles that had so dramatically improved our own lives and set them to stories, analogies, and examples that the kids found engaging. One by one we refined them until we could teach them to all of our kids.
Amazingly, we found that even our 6 year old son could understand wealth principles when they were presented the right way! Magically, we had created the skipping rock of wealth education; not too heavy and not too light but perfectly balanced for success.
Our early successes with our kids led to larger successes and soon they were starting their own businesses, investing their money, seeking to improve their relationships, focusing on their health, and learning what wealth really is. It felt awesome to see them change.
After sharing our experiences with friends of ours they asked us if they could use our materials with their kids as well. A little later, and after a lot of coaxing from others, we decided to put these lessons together so that other families can benefit from them as well.
